Psyche Corporation's Last un-sponsored Manhattan show

Psyche Corporation, of the Gilded Age Records Steampunk music label, is performing in Manhattan on Thursday, February 25th. This is our last un-sponsored Manhattan show for the near future, and this may be your last chance to see us perform in Manhattan. After this, we are going to be performing exclusively within larger events such as the Clockwork ball in NJ, Steampunk World's Fair, and others, most of which will not be in NYC. It's a tough time for steampunk music in Manhattan bars, but we're glad we got to play so many shows over the past few years. Please come by on Feb 25 and say hi!

We perform at 7pm, on Thursday 2/25/10
at Bar East
1733 First Ave, between 89th and 90th street (lower level, under actual bar)
NYC
$10, 21+

If you're free, please come out and support steampunk music!

The Windrow-Ravenswood Deck

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to share my most recent project with you:

The Windrow-Ravenswood Deck. Long thought lost in the annals of history and urban legend, this simple deck of playing cards has long been thought to be something more than its simple nature seems. Replacing the standard four suits with a much more strange and macabre set of artwork, the Windrow-Ravenswood Deck's imagery alone seems to set the stage for a much more intense game than the usual diversion that playing cards provide.

Unhallowed Metropolis at Templecon

The staff of Unhallowed Metropolis, the gas mask chic roleplaying game of Neo-Victorian horror are gathering February 5th-7th in Warwick, Rhode Island for Templecon. Join creators Nicole Vega and Jason Soles, cover artist George Higham, writer Simon Berman, Unhallowed photographer Marc17, and illustrator Robert Tritthardt for panels, demos, a book signing, and the premiere of the Unhallowed Metropolis Theater Game. In addition to participating in loads of events, we will be hocking our collective wares in the dealer hall (along with Anita Arora of Morbid Anatomy).

This is nearing the last in the "Airships and Tentacles" collection, wherein I merge Vernian and Lovecraftian themes in a surrealistic, strange-fiction, fantasy art, and pulp style. Muted colors in this and other such works are the results of using only four tubes of paint (blue, brown, and white + plus an accent color... in this case orange) coupled with graphite for subtle darks - to make for a very non-baroque sort of baroque.

Visiting New Orleans in January

Hallo everyone!

I will be traveling to New Orleans at the end of January for business. I will have a Friday night free and would love to visit with some local Steampunkers. My hotel is in the French Quarter so we will have plenty of options. Drinks are on me!
